I didn't mind Luke Goss in this (surprisingly).. the rest of the cast were all pretty much below average. Especially the kid who played his character when he was a boy - did he get no direction at all? Sound setup/design and speech levels in this were quite poor and distracting. Dialogue and direction felt clumsy and unnatural - but still capable enough to get the story across. Can understand why this was direct to DVD. I expected very little from this movie and it totally met my expectations.
I love Luke Goss, and this movie being as compelling as it is largely comes down to his charismatic performance. He is great, as are most of his fellow actors. The directing is sleek, and there are some cool sequences. And sometimes, that is more than enough. But sometimes, a movie's plot gets in its own way, such as the case here. The ending has no emotional impact as it means nothing and is telegraphed from three miles away. I don't know why British gangster movies insist on ending in this very specific way, but damn is it a tried trope. As such, the movie builds towards nothing, so it has no reason to be watched. Pretty crappy acting, dialogue and plot throughout the entire movie until the very end, where they try to tie it all together. Unfortunately, its not very cohesive and moves to quickly from one scene to the other. However, if you want to watch mindless and brutal killings/ see some decent cinematography then its an interesting watch. This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Luke Goss plays the stone faced assassin Victor who seems to be arriving at a crossroads of his life. Thank god that the screenplay hasn't called for lots of sentiments, I don't think that Goss is actually capable of that, but he plays a good assassin. 6, 8/10 After a very promising First Act, and a reasonably interesting second act, this film deteriorated into a jerk-off ending that was stupid and irritating. Unfortunately the Bad soundtrack and crummy sound mixing negated the otherwise excellent cinematography and editing. Another example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Overall, it's not too bad of a movie. The plot is very muddled and it is kind of hard to tell what people are saying half the time because of the accents, but it was decently fun for a low budget movie. I like how this opens with an interesting gimmick that could justify the runtime, but then it abandons it immediately. Two and a half stars for Luke Goss' Pitbull impersonation.
